Agent
A tiny simulated trader with its own set of rules.
Round (generation)
One cycle where the group of agents is tested and the best ones move on.
Mutation
A small tweak to an agent's rules. Some tweaks help; most don't.
Fitness / score
A single number showing how good an agent is overall. Higher is better.
Drawdown
How far an agent's value has dropped from its peak. Smaller is safer.
Hidden days
Historical days that the agent isn't allowed to see while learning. Used to grade honestly.
Plateau
When agents stop getting better round after round. Usually means we need to shake things up.
Market regime
The 'mood' of the market: calm, trending, choppy, in crisis, etc.
Leverage / margin
Trading with borrowed money. Not allowed here — permanently.
Simulation
A pretend trading environment. Nothing is bought or sold for real.
